OK, sorry

I did not mean to be elitest by saying I don't like the laundramat. But am I wrong about the people who just drop by to use the rest room or read a magazine?

The Birmingham laundramat, not surprisingly, is expensive. At $1.75 to wash and $1 to dry, I spent more than $20 to seven loads done. I don't know if I can afford to get my dryer fixed now.

Tomorrow morning, I have to go to the wake of a former co-worker and friend who died far too young. This week has not been the best.

Terrible Tigers

I can't believe how badly the Tigers played. Five errors by pitchers, eight in all...not much of a showing. But, still, a great season.

In some ways, now that the Series is over, life will get back to normal.

My stupid dryer broke, though. That means the laundromat. Strange people hang out at the laudromat. Some don't even do laundry, they just hang out and read magazines.

Tiger Town

The World Series came to Detroit and we were lucky enough to be there (in the last row of the upper deck). Much fun was had by all, before and during the festivities at Comerica Park.
Unfortunately, we had tickets to Game 1: A loss by the Tigers. They came back and won Game 2, so we are going to St. Louis all even.
And game 3 is GUM TIME!

So the Tigers are in the World Series. We have only lived in the Metro area for about six years. I have been to my share of Tigers games, mostly day games before work at Comerica. I was lucky enough to get tickets to the ALCS, clinching Game 4. I have been to Final Fours and assorted other NFL, NBA, WNBA, college and high school championships, but this was different - this was baseball. The euphoria that took over that stadium when Ordonez hit the homer was like nothing I'd ever seen before. Detroit is definitely Tiger Town. And I am glad to have the honor of be here as a witness.

So this is me

I chose a picture that includes a sunny day. I love summer. Used to be that fall and spring were my favorite seasons but now I just like hot. I had a chance at a job in Florida and didn't take it. It was sauna-like there in May. I need to find a happy medium. I loved the climate Reno, not too hot or cold. Detroit, a little too cold in the winter.

here is my blog

The Tigers are in the World Series, life is good.
