Welcome home

Erin has been gone all week at a conference. I forgot how much it sucked to hang out be yourself.

Tomorrow we will watch football and maybe go to the new mall. Fun.

I also have to rake leaves. NOT FUN.

This is the Fall Classic?

After rooting against Boston and being a little angry when Cleveland blew a 3-1 lead, I am torn about who to root for in the World Series.

I don't even care about the Rockies, but right now I hate the Red Sox.

What to do.

Tribe in trouble?

The Indians have 3-2 lead in the ALCS but did some serious choking Thursday when they had a chance to put the Red Sox away at home. Granted, Beckett is a great pticher but I think they let him get in their collective heads, especially Kenny Lofton.

If Cleveland can overocme the setback and get to the World Series, they would be the third straight AL Central to represent.

The Indians have the longest championship drought in the American League. The Red Sox stopped theirs a couple of years ago. For the sake of Erin's parents, long suffering Cleveland fans, it would be nice to see them get over the hump.

Can he get it doen tonight?

Rockies roll

Colorado has now won 18 of 19 including its 5-1 victory over Arizona in Game 1 of the NLCS.

That's just sick.

Hawkeye hate

So the Hawkeyes are horrible.

Kirk Ferentz got a contract extension and has proceeded to suck. I read a stat in Sports Illustrated this week that said he was 30-7 in the three seasons leading up to extension. He is 16-16 since and Iowa has lost 10 of last 11 Big Ten games.

People trying to talk me out of my Iowa hatred point to injuries and suspensions. Whatever, if Ferentz could keep his team in line we might have a skill player or two left on the roster.

I miss Hayden Fry.

Hayden gave Kirk his blessing.
